2 Peter 3:18

Thru the Valley, Thou Art With Me is a collection of God-inspired poems in the shadow of grief after the death of my beloved husband Steve. During early morning and late night walks, walks in the woods and fields, my visit to the Billy Graham Training Center “The Cove,” and walking on the ocean shore in Destin, Florida (the photos in the book are from these walks), I spent much time talking with the Lord. During these times, the words to these poems came into my head and I had to stop and write them down or I would forget them. Steve and I were both born again Christians who put our faith in Jesus Christ as our personal Lord and Savior. I know I will see Steve again one day, and until then, I will miss him. How beautiful that sometimes when the words to these poems came into my mind, it felt like the Lord was singing over me, with His love and comfort. For anyone struggling with grief and loss, I hope these poems bring you comfort that you are not alone. Your loss is unique. Your loved one is special. God created you. He loves you and He promises us that He will never leave us or forsake us. - Sara Rachel
